How many times have you made something as simple as poached eggs or simple rice and have gotten complimented for this easy meal? This is because it is possible and easy to make people happy from something as simple as a cup of tea served with a sincere smile or a spicy chicken with a pinch of kindness. You have to be cautious of the energy you let in and around you and let love conduct your life.
It is important for the human spirit to keep yourself always moving towards good and positive things. Take the time to ask your neighbor how they are doing and genuinely mean it. Get involved in the community and let the list of good deeds run through you because you can change this world. Live, Love and Feel Good! Before you indulge in your next meal, take the time and be thankful for it after all it is your medicine and it is sustaining you.
Whenever you prepare and pray for and before your food you are already making a change in the now and taking positive energy to a different level.
My Nana/ Grand Mother would always pray the longest prayers before any meal, it could be a simple cup of tea with a slice of buttered bread and she would pray and be so thankful for that whole experience that by the time we got to the tea it had to get sent back to the kitchen to get re-heated. But, I loved it! I loved hearing the tone of her sincere voice. She would be thankful for that moment, having her grandchildren to drink the tea with, she would mention the sweet bread and ask the most high to Bless the gifted hands that prepared that bread, she would always particularly mention strength through the food and Love and the prayer was just a rewarding full course meal in itself.Appreciate your friendships no matter how demanding they may be. Every friendship is unique and offers you a new energy friendships are also a reflection of yourself. Good friends and sincere love can be rare to find, but it is attainable to anyone who is open to it. Everybody is beautiful, unique, has a purpose and is created perfectly in the image of the most high, as well as capable and deserving of love so adding it to your daily routine and lifestyle can make a world of difference. Focusing on your breathing will also help reduce stress levels, lower blood pressure, stimulate brain growth and also help fight depression hence breathing can generally reduce over all stress.
Love and Happiness go hand in hand and can prolong your life and yes! it can heal, feel good and translate in so many ways in your life. Have you ever noticed when at anytime there is a group of people gathered around music and food there is always that one common denominator called Love, it is felt in the atmosphere, food and music you cannot escape it. To Love is easier than to hate. When one person laughs or simply smiles you will not be able to resist as it is contagious. The act of smiling relaxes the face muscles and yes! reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
I love to cook dinners at my apartment and invite my neighbors and friends. It has become a tradition with my neighbors we cook for one another, eat and drink wine together, it is a positive exchange of energy and so rewarding. Recently I prepared some "Ndengu"/ Mung Beans for my friends. Everybody loved them, including the people who swore that they did not like beans. Ndengu is great and delicious! It is also a mood stabilizer. Any form of a bean or a lentil is rewarding to your body and will certainly give you a good boost in energy. I prepared them just like i prepare everything with my special spice called Love. I added some coconut milk, cayenne, salt and pepper and the rest translated into magic because it all disappeared! The act of being kind takes no effort at all and is a positive energy that can lead to a domino effect.
Smile! Remember to Give Thanks! Life is Good!
There is also research, as reported in the New York Times,
to show that feelings of intense love can actually relieve physical
pain. The researchers involved in this Stanford University Study found
that study participants who looked at a picture of a loved one reduced
moderate pain by almost 40% and lessened severe pain by as much as 15%. -
